Yesterday, Thursday 10th of March, I co-presented an IEEE Smart Grid Webinar on Transactive Energy. I prepared and delivered the webinar together with co-presenters Steve Widergren of PNNL and prof. Leigh Tesfatsion of Iowa State University, both in the USA. The event targeted a broad audience of engineers and decision makers in the power sector world-wide. Over 550 people followed the webinar live and the webinar’s recoding is freely available from the IEEE Smart Grid website, see the link below.
Presented by Steve Widergren, Koen Kok and Leigh Tesfatsion
This webinar will introduce basic Transactive Energy principles and concepts. Using methods and tools from agent-based simulations and field studies, it will then demonstrate how TES techniques can facilitate the coordination of distributed energy resources and devices within electricity delivery systems using scalable market-based transactions that are simple to integrate and evolve as technology and objectives change over time.
